Business Computing BSc
This interdisciplinary degree blends the breadth of Information Technologies (electronic office programs, databases, programming and the internet) with the fundamentals of Business (management, marketing, accounting economics, law and more). The graduates will have the understanding and skills required to comprehend business functions and analyze user information needs in order to develop and implement information systems.
Through a mixture of theory and hands-on experience, you’ll develop the skills to identify a nimble combination of processes that enable information delivery systems to fulfil their roles within an organisation. You will also learn to recognise that an organisation is always changing you could try here and evolving, and how the information systems of that organisation must be able to adapt to these changes as well as new demands from users.
In your second year, we’ll help you develop your IT and computing skills by participating in workshops and projects. You’ll be able to learn from our professors and participate in an internship where you’ll put your new skills into practice.
Our teaching methods are founded on the latest technological developments, and we concentrate on the use of new technologies in business contexts. You can select from a range of subjects, including Big Data Analytics and Informatics Strategy and Management, as in e-Business Technology. The course is supplemented by regular guest speakers from renowned companies that will help demonstrate the practical relevance of the subject that you’re studying and the professional prospects for our graduates.
